DESCRIPTION:Overview:\n	This workshop will explain the ‘why\, when and how’ 
 of statistical simulation studies.  Such studies are useful to aid the stu
 dy of statistical procedures\, and to test their performance on synthetic 
 data.  However\, they are also useful in practice for trial design for per
 forming power and sample size calculations when analytical results are not
  available.\n\nAt the end of this workshop\, you will be able to implement
  simulation studies in simple problems.\n\nPrerequisites: \n	   · Basic kno
 wledge of statistics at the undergraduate level\, an appreciation of real-
 world statistical problems\, and basic/intermediate knowledge of R.\n\n\nD
