Biography: 

Dr. Fein is an assistant professor of medicine and a clinician-teacher at ºÚÁÏÍø and serves as Quality Lead and former Residency Program Director for the Division of Allergy and Immunology. During his tenure as Program Director, he oversaw the expansion of the training program into one of the largest in Canada, including the creation and growth of four advanced fellowship programs in Drug Allergy, Reproductive Immunology, Immune Deficiency, and Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases.

His research interests include immunologic skin diseases, medical education, and quality improvement. He co-founded the MUHC Multi-Disciplinary Allergy–Dermatology Clinic for complex patients with chronic urticaria or mastocytosis, part of the international UCARE (Urticaria Centers of Reference and Excellence) network. Dr. Fein is also a member of the MUHC Centre of Excellence for Atopic Dermatitis, where he has integrated specialty clinic collaboration with the Immune Deficiency Treatment Centre to advance both patient care and clinical research.

Dr. Fein holds a master’s degree in Quality Improvement from the London School of Economics. A dedicated educator, he has restructured the Allergy and Immunology curriculum to enhance resident engagement and academic rigor. He co-authored The Manual of Clinical Immunology & Allergy and founded AllergyIQ.ca, an innovative national learning platform designed to develop a unified Allergy–Immunology curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate medical training across Canada.

He is an active member of national and international allergy and immunology organizations, presenting at international conferences and contributing to the advancement of the field through clinical research and authorship of position statements for the Canadian Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology (CSACI), where he previously served as a Board Member.
