The real challenge lies in how t o make sustainable innovation happen at a faster pace. For sustainable inn ovation to be successful\, entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs need an interdi sciplinary range of skills and capabilities ranging from technical & scien tific knowledge to life cycle analysis to financial savvy. It will always require persistence\, creativity\, and openness to learning new things. An d it is completely worth it. Successful sustainable innovations impact liv es. There are ways to understand the value of opportunities and to increas e the likelihood of success. This lecture focuses on perceptions about sus tainable innovation\, success stories\, and some tools and approaches to i ncrease your chances of success in sustainable innovation.\nAfter completi ng a degree in Chemistry and an MBA\, Lynn joined DuPont’s Automotive Coat ings business where she held a variety of business\, marketing and technic al positions. She then changed market focus and led new initiatives in Foo d Safety for DuPont including responsibility for leading major R&D initiat ives in breakthrough disinfection technology. Lynn joined GreenCentre Cana da in 2010 as a Director of Commercial Development and worked with univers ities across Canada to commercialize greener technologies. Lynn is a named inventor on 13 patent applications in technologies representing each of t he different businesses with which she has been associated. She is a frequ ent speaker on innovation and green chemistry and chaired a session on com mercialization of Green Chemistry at the ACS-GCI’s 2013 meeting.
