 nee Committee is hosting a virtual workshop for neuroscientists at all car
 eer stages looking to improve their communication skills with patients\, c
 aregivers and others with lived experience. The session\, featuring insigh
 ts from two medical librarians and a rare disease advocate\, will introduc
 e feasible\, adaptable science communication techniques researchers can us
 e when engaging with patient partners. It will also highlight ways to buil
 d lasting relationships that enhance research\, such as patient advisory b
 oards or invited talks at patient organizations. \n\nSecure your spot now!

 event.\n\n\nSpeakers\n\nSabrina Burr\n\nSabrina Burr\, MISt\, is the libra
 rian of the Neuro-Patient Resource Centre located at The Neuro (Montreal N
 eurological Institute-Hospital). She has eight years of experience as a li
 brarian in patient resource centers at the ºÚÁÏÍø Health Centre
  (MUHC). She is deeply committed to her work\, particularly in empowering 
 patients by providing them with information and tools to actively engage i
 n their care and make informed decisions about their health and well-being
 . She obtained a certificate in Plain Language for Patient/Public Health C
 ommunication from the Michener Institute of Education at UHN. She also con
 tributes to internal committees focused on enhancing the overall patient e
 xperience at the MUHC.\n\nPaule Kelly-Rhéaume \n\nPaule Kelly-Rhéaume is a
  medical librarian at the ºÚÁÏÍø Health Centre. Working with bo
 th patients and medical students and staff\, she has developed plain langu
 age expertise in medical information\, holding a certificate in Plain Lang
 uage from the Michener Institute in Toronto.\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nJoAnne
  Mosel\n\nJoAnne Mosel\, CPA\, is a dedicated advocate in the Rare Disease
  space with over 30 years of experience. Her expertise in patient-oriented
  research and healthcare evidence ensures knowledge is accessible to patie
 nts and the public. JoAnne has worked with researchers across Canada\, con
 tributing to innovative projects\, including one of the inaugural patient-
 driven research initiatives supported by the CIHR SPOR Evidence Alliance. 
 Passionate about empowering patients\, she continues to expand her skills 
 through ongoing education and collaboration.\n
