f) upon request, review of their students鈥 grades;

Course details: Grammar, reading, dictation. Intensive practice in speech patterns and written structures. Conversation and composition. Visual material and selected readings will be used in describing the making of contemporary Italy.

Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures: Instructors of language courses must adhere to the guidelines set by the Language Program Directors (LPDs). In assuming a language position, the successful applicant agrees to the guidelines set by LPDs and to (1) teach the scheduled classes; (2) use the prescribed course materials and follow the class plan and test schedule established in the syllabus; (3) collaborate with colleagues to prepare in-class tests, quizzes, exercises, and final exams; (4) invigilate any scheduled in-class exams, final exams, and oral-exams; and (5) attend scheduled meetings with the Language Program Director.

Course details: Exploration of literary and cinematic representations of the themes of memory, trauma, nostalgia, family history, and war in modern Russian culture. Exploration of narrative approaches to war and trauma, their effects on cultural identity, Post-Soviet nostalgia, family and childhood, and related subjects.
