Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, & Graduate Assistant positions

TA Positions

All Teaching Assistant听positions are now posted through Workday on听黑料网鈥檚 Careers Website. Please refer to the听Guide for candidates听(External and Former Employees)听辞谤听(Internal).

Note: These Teaching Assistant positions are only available to 黑料网 graduate students. You must be a student registered at 黑料网 in an MA or PhD degree program in the Winter 2025 term.

How to Apply:听

IF YOU ARE A CURRENT EMPLOYEE听at 黑料网, with an active appointment in Workday who has successfully logged into Workday with an @mcgill.ca account, you must apply as a听"Current employee."听You must听be signed into VPN using your @mcgill.ca email account prior to logging into Workday in order to be able to apply.听

IF YOU ARE听NOT听A CURRENT EMPLOYEE听you must apply as an听鈥淓xternal candidate."听When you click on "apply" for a position of interest, you will then be prompted to sign into Workday. At this point, you must create an account with the use of a听personal听email address听exclusively (i.e. @gmail.com, @yahoo.ca, etc).听DO NOT create an account using your @mail.mcgill.ca address听at this time as this is currently causing a technical issue.

Please note that ECP students will receive an听email from our ECP Student Listserv notifying them when positions have been posted throughout the year. If you are an ECP Student, please check your @mail.mcgill.ca email for updates.

Positions are posted three times/year, by the following dates:

RA & GA Positions

Several SIS faculty members employ students for Research Assistant (RA) positions. Positions are filled at the discretion of the professor. Masters and PhD students interested in RA opportunities should review research projects of interest on the SIS faculty pages and contact faculty members directly to express interest in working as an RA. Doctoral students should also mention interest to their supervisors. In addition, Graduate Assistant (GA) positions are occasionally recruited from the student body.
