October 26, 2025

Dear Med-3 and Med-4 students,

As promised in our email on Friday, we are writing you to confirm activities for this week. The National Assembly passed a law yesterday that put an end to pressure tactics affecting medical education and training. The law is now in effect.

Clinical rotations for nearly all Med-3 and Med-4 students will resume tomorrow. Please show up on site according to the schedule that has already been provided to you.

There are a few exceptions, as outlined below.

Students in the middle of two-week electives:

  • If your two-week elective was supposed to start October 20 but did not, we are contacting you individually with specific instructions.

Students doing rural rotations:

  • If the Distributed Medical Education (DME) team has contacted you already, please follow the instructions given to resume your rotation.
  • If you have not yet received instructions, the DME team will email you on Monday morning to let you know how to proceed.

While I know that you are eager to resume your training so that you can progress on your career path, I also recognize that emotions are running high. Please remember that your supervisors value you, both as students and as their future colleagues. We will all support you as we navigate the transition back to learning in the clinical setting.
